          Nancy Talbot, Chair, WellMet Philanthropy

WellMet Philanthropy is a women’s collective giving group that for 20 years has supported and provided catalyst grants to emerging nonprofits in New York City. Kim has guided us at a critical juncture to build an organizational structure that will help ensure our continued success for decades to come. Kim’s adroit leadership entailed consensus building and respect for the founders’ vision to produce an action plan enthusiastically supported by our membership.

Richard Hochhauser, Instructor at Baruch College, NYU

I met Alison when we were both board members at NYCCAH. I saw how committed she was, how she sought opinions from others and how freely she shared her knowledge to a newbie (me). When she took on the Chair role, I was exposed to Alison the leader - someone who sought win-win solutions for all of her constituencies, and who also moved things forward. Alison is a strategic thinker; she saw alternate futures and drove the organization to the appropriate places. She was a key to moving NYCCAH to a national platform as Hunger Free America, and this happened seamlessly under her leadership. Coupled with all of these skills is a practical orientation that serves those around her well. Alison is a winner.

Julie Kay, former NIRH Board Chair, Human Rights Attorney

By combining her corporate management skills and her passion for our non-profit cause, Kim engaged the team in identifying our most urgent organizational needs and mission priorities, developing effective initiatives to meet our goals and then making sure implementation happened on time and with identifiable measures for success.

Kim’s leadership and planning was central to our board’s work to successfully diversify our membership in a thoughtful, effective manner. It’s rare to find someone who possesses Kim’s ability to connect at a human level who also has such strong planning skills and follow-through.

Owen Robinson, Executive Director, Haiti Cardiac Alliance

Alison has been an invaluable advisor, board member, and thought partner to Haiti Cardiac Alliance and to me personally at every step of Haiti Cardiac Alliance's growth as an organization. She first volunteered with us to help us refine our brand identity and marketing; since then, her relationship to us as a strategic advisor and partner has broadened and deepened to encompass nearly all aspects of running an internationally focused non-profit. We've benefited greatly from Alison's generosity with her time; her enthusiasm and energy; her experienced counsel; and the action-orientation and sense of urgency she brings to every aspect of our work that she touches.

Chris Grillo, former Program Manager Thomson Reuters

In my nearly 20-year career at Thomson Reuters, there was no one more effective at aligning teams around complex strategic goals and ensuring they were consistently delivering value than Kim. Even on some of the larger projects with multiple, distributed teams, Kim always managed to keep everyone communicating effectively to ensure that incremental outcomes had been identified, commitments were being met and stakeholders were kept informed of any potential risks or milestones.

Kim's reputation for getting things done was well deserved, and there was a pervasive sentiment throughout the organization that working on one of her projects meant that you had been afforded an opportunity to experience success, not only from a project perspective but also as part of a happy, highly functional team. Kim's ability to keep her teams working together, aligned on its goals, and laser focused on delivering value was invariably instrumental to the organization's success.

Joseph Patuleia, Executive Director at Boys Hope Girls Hope of New York

Alison was an invaluable partner in planning, orchestrating, and motivating our team and community. That our Health Fairs were a success because of partnerships and because of Alison Curry's enthusiasm, passion and leadership. She is smart, creative and action-oriented...

Holly Carter, Founder and Executive Director BYkids

Alison Curry has a keen strategic mind and delivers solutions in an efficient and thoughtful way. She is elegant and smart, a rare and wonderful combination that has immeasurably pushed the vision and mission of BYkids forward over the past three years of working with her.

She is able to meet the client where they are and push just hard enough to make magic things happen.

Bruce Keenan, Founder, Board Member, Himalayan Children’s Charities
